Guild Wars 2 "speedpainting" commission

I've been meaning to occasionally update this blog with some art I haven't posted here before! Starting with a few Guild Wars 2 Tier 3 "speedpainting" commissions from a while back. These are a selection of my favorites from 2023!

The other reason I wanted to post these is because I took timelapses of several pieces from the 2023 batch of "speedpaintings." I'm planning to post the timelapse for the first and third artworks in this post (the fiery charr and the confident-looking sylvari). 

I recently finished editing the timelapse videos for those two, and will post them to YouTube soon. I'll update this post when those videos are up! 

Quick sketch of my reaper to test some brush settings - I tried to digitally recreate the feel of using my favorite ink in my fountain pen, haha (Pilot Iroshizuku's "sui-gyoku" - "emerald green").

At the tail-end of formatting the Duskbirds zines – indulged briefly earlier with some imagination-drawing anatomy-practice with my sylvari reaper. I think I’m slightly more comfortable drawing torsos from imagination now. I need to do more neck studies in the future.

Hello! I've been hard at work formatting The Harbinger's Path comic pages for print, and wanted to write an update about how the progress is going.

Below is an update about the book's current layout. These include some page comparisons, typography updates for both the print and online pages, and a little more info about the bonus material in the book.

I'm here with an update about The Harbinger's Path print book's progress!  

As of this writing, I have finished the first edit pass for all of Chapter 1, all of Chapter 2, and I am now up to pages 5-6 in Chapter 3. These edits include adjusting the pages to factor in margin, bleed, and trim, for when the pages are cut for printing. I have also retouched the art for certain pages along the way (one of them might even be live on the site!).

Spent some hours last night seeing how much I could add to this small animation practice!  I did the early draft for this one at the end of January.
