Update: May 22, 2025 I think I figured out what I found displeasing about the original “finished” version of this drawing (the version right below this text), and why I preferred the earlier sketch – it’s likely because I didn’t darken the tops of his eye socks/below his brows, to match the contrast that was...Continue Reading

Update: May 24, 2025 Think I’m finished with the painting now. Above is the version with blood (more accurate to his character design), below is a version without it: Earlier work-in-process crop below: And original post below: One thing I didn’t expect from working on comic pages for The Harbinger’s Path is how it reminded...Continue Reading

Latest post to updates log: May 21, 2025 (scroll to bottom of post) The Harbinger’s Path officially launched today! :D The entire first chapter can be read here. Here’s the description from the site: Pact Marshal Trahearne spent 43 days captured by the Elder Dragon Mordremoth. What happened to the Firstborn during this time?  ...Continue Reading

One of the things I was hoping to do ahead of the my self-imposed May 12th Chapter 1 launch date, in addition to the chapter itself, was put together a little digital, web-resolution PDF of it to accompany its launch. Then, I had the thought that it might be fun to include some bonus art...Continue Reading

I’ve been wanting to do a series of “portrait-style” paintings for some of my favorite sylvari characters – the first one I’ve finished so far is Dagonet (from last October), and I’ve shown WIP’s of Riannoc and Cadeyrn in places before. Riannoc has been very close to being finished for a while, and I also...Continue Reading

I’ve been putting the final adjustments for the first chapter of The Harbinger’s Path, and thought it would be fun to show two past paintings of Trahearne and Malyck which were early representations for what has developed into this comic project. Only, when I saw the Malyck painting again, all I could notice were all...Continue Reading

One more panel preview! This might be the final one I do before releasing the first chapter, as I realize I shouldn’t show too much before the whole thing is released.

A friend is interested in doing a practice run of her own DnD campaign, and asked if I wanted to join. I haven’t done something like that before, but I said sure! She said think about which character and class I wanted to play as. I said I’ll get back to you! After paging through...Continue Reading

Edit: April 17, 2025 Started touching-up the left panel more. :) Proportion fixes for Trahearne. Also a higher-resolution version than earlier. Earlier post below: Ahh! I’ve been making steady progress on The Harbinger’s Path, and I’m really excited to finish the first chapter – partially because it will be so satisfying when I can finally...Continue Reading

“Malyck is no one. He comes from no where. On one hand, I am sorry for him. He has no roots. On the other, I am envious. He can become whatever he chooses. I hope he chooses well.” – Excerpt from “The Nightmare Harbinger” by Amaranda the Lonesome  (Source: The official Guild Wars 2 wiki)...Continue Reading

Note: This post may contain spoilers for the story in Guild Wars 2: Heart of Thorns. Here are the first previews for some of the panels from The Harbinger’s Path, and a little more about my thought process behind what inspired this project. Two questions I always wished Guild Wars 2, and Heart of Thorns...Continue Reading

“Pact Marshal Trahearne spent 43 days captured by the Elder Dragon Mordremoth. What happened to the Firstborn during this time?” I’m excited to announce The Harbinger’s Path, a new project I’ve started and have been wanting to do for a while! It’s a Trahearne and Malyck short Guild Wars 2 fan comic, taking place in...Continue Reading
