Guild Wars 2 commission to commemorate the characters’ owners’ anniversary! This one was commissioned several months ahead of time for a surprise gift, and I’m excited I can show it now. It’s painted in the “Speedpainting (Tier 3)” style. After reading the commissioner’s description for what they’d like to see, I had four initial sketch...Continue Reading

There seems to be a theme between this and the last post. Haha. This was a sketch idea I wanted to jot down yesterday. I started trying out some vague decorative background ideas. Still deciding which way to take it. Other than the general pose, I didn’t plan the rest out. It felt nice to...Continue Reading

Had an idea with my sylvari characters I wanted to jot down! It turned into a book cover composition, somehow. It'd be reversed if I used it as one - but I mainly wanted to sketch my three characters together, since I haven't drawn them all together in an illustration in a while. The left character is my Nightmare Court elementalist, Caydren; the middle character is my sylvari reaper/necromancer, Landis; and the right character is my Nightmare Courtier ranger/druid, Lorcan (who has yet to have his outfit added).

I’ve been meaning to try some different designs for Geissler for a while – here’s a recent attempt! I’m not sure if I’ll finish this one, but it felt good to draw him again. The “in-progress” of the title refers to the design – he’s meant to have an accessory by his wrist, and probably...Continue Reading

Trahearne sketch ideas (character from Guild Wars 2). The idea was, I wanted to see how Trahearne looked if he held Caladbolg in the “modern fantasy” greatsword style, where the weapon is slung (probably impractically) over the shoulder. I suspect (though could easily be mistaken) this pose was once popularized by FF7’s Cloud Strife player...Continue Reading

Had a potential idea today for the Corveil sketch from February 20, 2025. And a rough thumb of a vague idea I had one of the mornings earlier this week, and forgot about until this morning. Only this time, I sketched it down quickly before I could forget it again! It’s probably difficult to make...Continue Reading

Wanted to post some progress on this illustration I’ve been fiddling around with! Corveil and Arquel again here. The loose idea behind this one is, “Not your voice, not your vision.” This is also another of the ideas that I sketched a while back, and didn’t add to in a while – though not as long...Continue Reading

Let's test adding non-art posts to this sketchblog! I'm not sure if I'll continue doing it, but that's why this post is a test. :) The idea seemed fun, so I thought, why not. My ulterior motive is I'm pleased with how the homestead is progressing, and figure it might be nice to have a post here for easy reference or inspiration, if I decide to do any drawings or sketches based off it. :)

A few crops from a sketchpage warm-up from earlier today, plus one I started refining a bit more for fun. Corveil and Arquel in these: Hrmmm I should probably take down the link to this sketchblog from my portfolio site if I’m going to post sketches like this one, haha. Even though it’s technically SFW,...Continue Reading

Edit: March 2, 2025 Moved all the edits log to the end of this post to make the post read more easily. :) Original post below: Here’s an illustration where the original sketch was from a long time ago – November 2023, in fact! I’ll add a crop of that version at the end of...Continue Reading

Felt like drawing Corveil’s outfit after posting the previous sketchpage, tried some drawing/painting things I’ve been meaning to try, too. :)

A few recent sketches of Corveil and Kurt I just wanted to post for myself. :) With Corveil, I was trying out some hairstyle options for him. I started with a longer hairstyle (which you can see in the top-left initial sketch), because while shorter hair probably suits his character better, I tend to lengthen...Continue Reading
