Sunny afternoon sketch

The commission I’m currently working on uses a lot of dark values, and I am having a heck of a time trying to see the details in it when it’s so bright and sunny today. Did some idle doodling instead while seeing if some cloud cover would roll in, but I think I’ll have to draw the curtains and shut out all that glorious light to continue working. :(
