Otherwise known as the Antwerp Belgian or Belgian Bearded D’Anvers Bantam

I woke up with a massive headache this morning and spent most of the day in bed alternating between sleeping and paging through this chicken encyclopedia that was on the shelf next to me. I ended up going through the whole book and marking the pages with chicken breeds I especially admired.

This one I really liked for its lavender plumage, distinctive plump shape and upright posture.

Later in the day I felt like drawing one. Once in a while I get an urge to draw something from a photo, most of the time I find that pretty boring though.
