One thing I didn’t expect from working on comic pages for The Harbinger’s Path<\/strong> is how it reminded me how satisfying it is to draw with lineart again.<\/p>\n

I have also been playing Elden Ring<\/strong> for the first time recently, and I’ve combined these two interests in a practice drawing of my favorite character from the game (so far) – Varr\u00e9, the oddly creepy personality with a questionable interest in blood.<\/p>\n

The character’s demeanor was very bizarre to me, at first – this is also the first Fromsoft game I’ve ever played, and I’m not sure if this type of character is simply a staple of their studio, haha. But, he grew on me immensely after his later questlines in the game. Which I largely attribute to Pip Torrens – his line delivery is a delight for the ears. Every line is dripping with personality.<\/p>\n

I read that there’s speculation Varr\u00e9 was originally meant to play a larger role in the game, which might have been cut from the final release. Such a shame! I would have, without question, pursued his path were it an option – the character steals the screen every time he appears.<\/p>\n
